Our Mission:
The New York Firearms Association (NYFA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to defending and protecting the constitutional right of citizens to keep and bear arms, while promoting a culture of safety, education, and responsible firearm ownership. Our mission is built upon six core pillars:
01
Protecting Constitutional Rights
We firmly uphold the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution, ensuring that every law-abiding citizen has the right to legally own firearms and defend themselves.
02
Firearm Safety Training
We are committed to promoting firearm safety and legal responsibility, encouraging responsible gun ownership. We support community-based safety training and educational programs, including firearm safety, self-defense, concealed carry (CCW) training, and guidance for firearm license applications—helping individuals remain compliant with the law while enhancing their ability to protect themselves.
03
Public Awareness & Education
Through courses, seminars, and media outreach, we aim to raise public awareness and understanding of firearm laws, rights, and safety.
04
Community Engagement & Collaboration
We work in partnership with local communities, law enforcement agencies, and related organizations to improve public safety and strengthen neighborhood security.
05
Legislative Advocacy
We monitor and influence firearm-related policies at the local, state, and federal levels, ensuring that laws remain fair, reasonable, and do not infringe upon citizens’ rights.
06
Addressing Gun Violence
Through policy advocacy, community education, and crime prevention initiatives, we proactively address the issue of violence by tackling its root causes, rather than simply restricting lawful gun ownership.
Our ultimate goal is to safeguard firearm rights while promoting public safety, ensuring that future generations can live in a society where freedom and security coexist.
