On May 10, 2025, spring was fading away, and the warmth of early summer had quietly arrived. Sunlight streamed down at the Long Island shooting range, a gentle breeze was blowing, but the air was still filled with a serious and focused atmosphere. On this day, the New York Firearms Association (NYFA) once again held its spring-end training event, attracting many members who brought their equipment to hone their skills and improve themselves in this familiar arena.

(In addition to various pistols, the table is equipped with a variety of live ammunition, including 9mm, .40 S&W, and .45 ACP.)
This training continued the association's consistent emphasis on safety and professionalism, focusing on basic target shooting to provide new members, especially female members, with a solid foundation in live-fire training. Under the careful guidance of Instructor Wong William , the trainees performed standard static shooting operations, gradually improving accuracy and stability from gun holding posture and aiming techniques to firing rhythm. The process was rigorous and focused.

It's worth mentioning that this event also attracted many new faces, demonstrating the success of NYFA's ongoing efforts to promote firearms culture and education. Although these new members are relatively inexperienced, with the help of senior trainees and instructors, they quickly mastered the safety rules and shooting techniques, performing admirably. The association also specially arranged group instruction, allowing members of different levels to progress steadily at a pace suitable for them.

(The new member's first time on the target; although his movements were a little clumsy, he showed a high willingness to learn.)
The steady, rhythmic sound of gunfire echoed across the firing range, accompanied by exchanges and interactions among the team members. During training breaks, they shared their experiences and provided peer feedback, creating a positive and enthusiastic atmosphere. The female members continued to shine, demonstrating respect for technique and a relentless pursuit of improvement with their calm demeanor and meticulous execution, filling the training area with a more diverse and balanced energy.

(The female members remained calm throughout, and their movements were precise and decisive.)
NYFA is committed to creating a respectful and safe shooting environment, allowing every member, regardless of background or gender, to participate with peace of mind and grow steadily. With strict safety regulations at its core and adhering to the principle of "safety first ," the association guides those interested in shooting to learn correct concepts and basic operations in a stable and friendly atmosphere.

The late spring sunshine was gentle, but the passion at the shooting range remained intense. The New York Rifle & Shooting Association will continue to host more practical and engaging training sessions and activities, allowing every shooter to find their rhythm and achieve their goals through continuous improvement. We look forward to more like-minded friends joining this family full of skill, trust, and friendship, to jointly write the next exciting chapter in shooting history!
