NYFA Long Island Shooting Event: Celebrating the End of Summer and the Beginning of Autumn

On Saturday, August 23, 2025, during the Beginning of Autumn, as the summer heat gradually subsides and autumn begins to arrive, the New York Firearms Association (NYFA) will host a shooting event at the Long Island Range, allowing members to gather and exchange ideas once again in the cool of late summer and early autumn.

More than ten members participated in the event, which included a variety of classic models and calibers of pistols and rifles, catering to the needs of different shooting enthusiasts. During the event, everyone experienced the joy of shooting, honed their skills, and shared their experiences under professional safety guidelines.

The event included both experienced shooting enthusiasts and first-time participants. With the members' patient guidance and continuous practice, the novices gradually became familiar with firearm operation, and their shooting skills improved significantly from initial nervousness to mastering the essentials.

What's even more gratifying is that several former "pistol novices" have now grown into skilled shooting veterans, demonstrating a steady and accurate performance on the shooting range. This also shows the association's achievements in cultivating members' shooting abilities.

It is worth mentioning that the association's honorary chairman, Chairman Lin, also attended the event and interacted warmly with the members. He encouraged everyone to continuously pursue accuracy and professionalism in shooting sports, and reiterated the principle of "safety first ," reminding each member that while enjoying the fun of shooting, they should also promote a legal and safe firearms culture with a professional attitude.

This event not only improved members' shooting skills but also demonstrated the association's cohesion. Members gained more than just skills at the shooting range; they also deepened their friendships and shared sense of mission.

This event provided everyone with a fulfilling summer, witnessing the growth and progress from novices to veterans; every grip on a gun, every shot fired, was a testament to that growth. For NYFA, the progress of its members is the association's greatest achievement and source of pride.
