Today, we'll learn target shooting with Coach Wang!

On Monday, July 21, 2025, the New York Firearms and Shooting Association (NYFA) held a shooting practice training session as scheduled. The association's professional pistol instructor, Wang Lijin, was specially invited to lead and guide the training. Many association members actively participated, and the learning atmosphere was strong, with participants gaining a lot from the training.

At the training site, Instructor Wang Lijin explained the firearms safety rules, basic shooting movements and key details in detail. He provided individual guidance to each student, carefully correcting their movements from holding the gun to aiming, firing, and reloading, striving to ensure that every member could continuously improve their skills while maintaining safety.

It's worth mentioning that the training also included a display and hands-on experience with antique firearms, allowing members to experience the historical charm and unique feel of classic firearms up close. Under Coach Wang's guidance, everyone carefully operated and test-fired the weapons, learning the essentials of using the old guns and gaining a deep understanding of the development and progress of modern firearms technology.

One trainee said, "This training gave me a completely new understanding of gun safety and also helped me improve on details of my movements that I hadn't paid attention to before. I am very grateful to Instructor Wang for his meticulous guidance."

This training was not only a skill enhancement exercise, but also a great opportunity for members to learn from each other and enhance communication. Under Coach Wang's guidance, everyone observed each other, exchanged experiences, and helped each other, fully embodying the association's philosophy of "safety, responsibility, and professionalism" .

The New York Firearms Association will continue to regularly conduct multiple live-fire shooting training sessions and theoretical courses, invite more professional instructors to join, and continue to introduce various antique firearms experiences to provide members with a more systematic, practical, and historically rich learning platform, helping each member to master firearms skills safely, compliantly, professionally, and confidently.
